Tent Sites

Tent sites are scattered throughout our 200 wooded acres and include many riverfront sites. Most sites have a grill and a picnic table. Running water is available on some sites. Primitive sites are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservation is required. Must be at least 18 years old to camp without a parent or legal guardian.

Check-in Times: Check-in begins at 8:00 AM

Check-out Times: All passes expire at sunset on your last day.

*Reminder: Campers entering the park before 8:00 AM will be charged for the previous night’s camping.

RVs are permitted only on designated Electric and Water (E/W) sites and approved “Outback” camping areas within the park.

Water & Electric Sites

There are 123 water and electric campsites right across from Ginnie’s General Store, where you can camp with all the comforts of home. Reservations are recommended and need to be made at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, sites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. None of the water and electric sites are located by the river. Water and electric sites vary in size—it is very important to list the correct measurements of your RV and the number of guests staying to ensure the site can accommodate you.

All water and electric sites have a picnic table and grill. There are no sewer hookups on the site, but a dump station is available for campers to use.

Camping Rules

Camping Rules

All campers must be at least 18 years old to camp. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Proof of legal guardianship required. We check ID!

  • There is a limit of one RV or two tents per water and electric site, and a maximum of eight guests per site. Campers staying on water and electric sites must be registered for the site.
  • Camping prices are per person, per night. Summer rates are now in effect.
  • Prices may be higher on major holidays/holiday weekends.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Sales tax is not included in the above prices.
  • Camping fees include daily admission to the park.
  • Scuba diving fees are additional.
  • No pets.
  • Campsites must be clean and orderly at all times.
  • Lanterns should be hung from ropes suspended between trees.
  • Lanterns should not be attached directly to trees—heat from lanterns will kill our trees.
  • No chainsaws allowed.
  • Do not cut or nail anything to trees or vegetation.
  • No camping on the grassy areas surrounding Ginnie Springs or the Devil’s Springs systems.
  • Quiet hours are from 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM.
  • No excessive noise is permitted at any time.
  • All other regular park rules apply.

Reservations

Reservations

Reservations are only needed for water and electric campsites. All camp fees and electric and water fees are collected at the time of reservation.
You can make a reservation through ReserveAmerica.
Electric and water site reservations require a two-night minimum stay (April through September). Reservations need to be made at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, sites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Some major holidays require a three-night minimum stay. Holiday rates may apply.

You do not need a reservation for primitive (tent) campsites. Primitive campsites are first-come, first-served and are chosen by campers after check-in.
We only reserve primitive sites for groups of 30 or more guests October through March. We do not accept any primitive site reservations from May through September.

Cancellations

All cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours before your arrival date. Cancellations will receive a refund except for the cancellation fee ($20 per site for electric and water). There is a $10 rescheduling fee.

Any cancellations and/or changes to a reservation are made online through your ReserveAmerica profile.

Ginnie Springs reservations canceled within the 48-hour period will forfeit the first night’s camp fee(s) and electric and water fee(s). The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded.

If the guest does not check in for the reservation on the arrival date or by the following day, the reservation will be cancelled as a “no-show” and will forfeit all fees. It is the guest’s responsibility to cancel or reschedule within the 48-hour window before arrival.
